Saracens Dementia Club were treated to a visit to Allianz Park home of Saracens. After a cup of tea the members were given a tour which included The Priory Collection, this is the largest collection of sport art and memorabilia in Europe owned by Saracens chairman Nigel Wray.
We were privileged to see the first team training in preparation for their match against Toulouse on Saturday which I am happy to report they won. This was however a sad day for us all after hearing about the Paris tragedy.
Anthony gave us an informing and interesting presentation of what technology is available. He showed us examples of gadgets that switch on lights when moving around home in the dark, key finders that have a GPS location device attached.
Anthony covered many items which included such things as:
- Automated prompts and reminders
- Clocks and calenders
- Eating and drinking
- Medication reminders and dispensers
- Item location devices
