Another huge turnout this week, we had to find extra chairs around the hospital. Luckily we had a good turnout of volunteers which kept the members topped up with tea and cakes and in good spirits.
Annette Nathan and Susan Dawson were invited to give a presentation on Jewish Care. They gave us some top tips for carers as well as discussing “The Care Act”, which states that carers should be considered to have equal rights for care as Dementia Sufferers.
We had two birthdays today, Tina and her mum Joan were both born on the same day so both had to blow some candles out on a cake.
We rounded off the session with a group discussion. One member mentioned their visit to the British Museum and another member mentioned their adventurous trip to Cornwall by train.
